We explored our Riverley Values and focused in particular on Empathy during this morning’s assembly. While listening to the story ‘Empathy is my Superpower’, we discussed putting ourselves in someone else’s shoes while thinking of the questions:
- How would I feel if I were in that situation?
- What would I need to feel better?
What does Empathy mean to you? The children were Creative Crabs with many ideas such as “helping others”, “understanding everyone has different feelings” and “thinking about how someone else might feel and wanting to help them”.
