Despite the heatwave, the energy at Riverley has been absolutely soaring. Our creative space has been filled with inspiration as our children engaged in some spectacular family led workshops. A massive, heartfelt thank you to our incredible family members who stepped up to lead these brilliant sessions and share their amazing talents with us:

Portrait & Collage with Kate: Year 2 explored identity by crafting beautiful, textured self portraits using a mix of colourful collage materials.

DJ Workshops with Gerald: Our upper Key Stage 2 students took to the decks, learning how to mix beats, match rhythms and find their inner DJs.

Dance Workshops with Gerald: From our youngest learners up to Year 3, the children expressed themselves through high energy movement and games.

Circus Workshops with Ludovic: Year 5 stepped into the ring to master the arts of balance, coordination and classic circus tricks.

Fashion with Carey: Our young designers got hands on, discovering how to bring their unique creative visions to life through fabric and styling.

Doodling with Dionne: The children unlocked their imagination, learning how simple lines and shapes can build wonderfully intricate visual stories.

Beyond our school gates, we also embarked on an unforgettable orchestra trip to the prestigious Barbican. Our exceptionally talented musicians from Years 5 and 6 truly shone on the big stage, representing Riverley with absolute grace and musical brilliance! As if that wasn’t exciting enough, our children were also lucky enough to begin a fabulous collaborative project with the Leyton Midland Collective in preparation for the upcoming Leyton Arts Festival! We cannot wait to see our community’s story and creativity celebrated on the local stage.

Thank you to everyone who made Week 1 of GAF so magical. Bring on Week 2!
