As part of Imagine: Awe and Wander – Fieldwork Festival 2025, Year 4 welcomed a very special guest — a Riverley parent — for a thought-provoking workshop on sustainable food. As the children explore the journey of food, from soil to spoon, they learned how what we eat and how it’s grown affects the planet. The workshop sparked discussions about seasonality, local produce, packaging and food miles. With stories, questions and practical examples, the session helped children understand the power of their choices and how small changes can make a big impact. The talk inspired Year 4 to think like global citizens — curious, informed and ready to make a difference, one bite at a time.
