Year 1 were joined by a very special Riverley family member who brought the spirit of community and kindness into their classroom for Imagine: Awe and Wander – Fieldwork Festival 2025. He shared an inspiring story about his journey to Ukraine, where he volunteered with a charity to help bake bread for those in need. The children listened with wide eyes as he spoke about teamwork, compassion, and how small acts can make a big difference. Through questions, conversation, and even handling real baking tools, the children learned how helping others is a form of exploration too — discovering the power of kindness in action. This workshop reminded us that fieldwork doesn’t always take place in a field — sometimes, it begins in the heart of a community.
