Dear Griffin Families ,
In May 2025, Ofsted visited The Lammas School and confirmed that we are firmly on track to secure a Good judgement at our next full inspection. This recognition marks an exciting chapter in our journey of improvement, one that we are proud to share with our Griffin Schools families at Riverley and Willow Brook.
Lammas is deeply committed to the Griffin values of Proud Traditions, Wide Horizons and High Achievement, and this is now clearly reflected in every aspect of school life.
Ofsted praised our broad, ambitious enrichment programme, a cornerstone of our Wide Horizons offer: “You have expanded your enrichment offer so that pupils have access to a wide range of cultural experiences… Pupils are thriving through the many opportunities you provide for leadership.”
From sporting excellence and creative arts to STEM clubs and student leadership, we are offering a truly rounded education. These opportunities build confidence, develop character, and inspire ambition, ensuring that every child flourishes beyond the classroom.
The report also celebrated our inclusive ethos and the high-quality academic support we provide: “You are providing academic support to those pupils who need it the most. This is helping them to catch up so they can access the full curriculum… Pupils who are new to the country are given extensive support when they arrive.”
We know that students achieve their best when they feel known, supported, and understood. Our tailored interventions and inclusive practices ensure that every learner, regardless of background, is set up for High Achievement.
Finally, Ofsted recognised the positive, respectful culture that underpins our daily life: “Behaviour in lessons is overwhelmingly positive. Corridors and communal spaces are calm. Pupils speak highly of their teachers.”
This strong foundation allows students to thrive in a safe and structured environment, where Proud Traditions are celebrated and values of Wisdom, Courage and Leadership are upheld by all.
We are incredibly proud of how far The Lammas School has come, and even more excited for where we are going.
As part of the Griffin Schools Trust family, we remain committed to the same high standards and values that you have come to expect at primary level, ensuring a seamless, inspiring transition into secondary school. We warmly invite you to visit us and experience the vibrant, inclusive Lammas community first-hand.
Our Year 6 Open Evening will take place on Monday 29th September 2025 between 6pm and 8.30pm and tours can be arranged by contacting our office on 0208 988 5860, emailing school@thelammas.com or visiting our website at lammas-gst.org.
Warm regards,
Carla Kenny Executive Head and Sarah Sawtell Head of School
