Sports Day 2026

Sports Day at Lammas Field had the kind of steady energy that builds slowly and then never really lets up.

The morning began with the egg-and-spoon race, a careful procession that quickly unravelled into bursts of laughter as concentration gave way to speed. Close behind came the sack race, where rhythm mattered more than grace, and progress came in uneven hops across the grass.

The hurdles added a sharper edge to the day—moments of focus, quick adjustments, the occasional stumble, and then the immediate push to recover and carry on. Between events, there was constant movement: names being called, teams gathering, the low hum of anticipation before each start.

The relay races brought everything together. Batons changed hands in quick exchanges, some smooth, some frantic, all driven by the same urgency to keep the team moving forward. Every finish line was met with noise—shouts, applause, and the relief of effort spent well.
