Assemblies

Whole school assemblies take place on Monday mornings from 09:00 which are led by the Head of School or other members of staff. Children reflect on the school values: creativity, ambition, responsibility and empathy through stories, songs and Riverley reflection.

Singing assemblies are held on Wednesday afternoons which are led by specialist Music teachers. Children learn songs with a moral message and also have opportunities to rehearse songs for our Proud Traditions such as The Big Sing, Winter Recital and Spring Recital.

Our celebration assemblies take place in our Great Hall on Friday afternoons and consist of house point and red carpet assemblies which are delivered on alternative weeks. Children are placed into four houses: Endeavour, Illuminate, Phoenix and Endeavour and receive house points for good behaviour, displaying the Riverley values and going above and beyond in their learning, around the school and outside of school. The house points are then collected and collated by our House Captains on a bi-weekly basis and then shared during House Point assemblies.

Our Red Carpet assemblies are hugely looked forward to by students and staff. Two children are chosen from each class to run down the red carpet and collect a certificate to celebrate their dedication and tenacity towards their learning. Throughout the year, every child has the opportunity to run down the red carpet for displaying the Riverley Values.
