Year 1 have been studying the work of Takashi Murakami. Initially they sketched a recreation of their favourite piece of his artwork in their sketchbooks before moving onto adapting his artistic style through impressed and relief printing. They explored the bright and bold colours he uses and utilised a range of different shapes resources to create their own version of impressed printing. Following on from that they challenged themselves further by recreating his famous art piece: Killer Pink whereby they used foam boards to create stand out pieces of art.
